Newsflash

First and foremost a big thank you to all those who have continued to support the club over the last year. It is only with your attendance and enthusiasm that the classes can grow and develop. I trust that this has proved an enjoyable and yet challenging experience for all those involved and look forward to being party to future success. I am sure that all will agree that the friendship and enthusiasm shown by all has encouraged greater development and understanding in a safe, sane environment.

This year has seen a number of changes including the new name and logo KARASAC KALI – this has been adopted with the support and blessing of Paul’s instructor Guru Ralph Jones who is the founder and head of the original ZanshinKali (Kent Kali Group). KARASAC will remain a derivative of the former and Paul thanks Guru Jones for all his continued support and guidance.

The year has been incredibly busy with a number of you attending seminars at home and abroad with Paul. In January we travelled down to Bournemouth for the 1st of many of Guru Inosantos seminars. Subsequently we hosted Sifu Rick Faye (founder and head of the Minnesota Kali group) and travelled to the the wilds of Minneapolis for Guru Inosanto’s seminar and a great week of training with Rick. Germany and London seminars followed and we were fortunate enough to host Grand Master Danny Guba of the Doce Pares system again (our kindest wishes and thanks go out to Danny whose abilities and friendship are treasured by us all..we look forward to continued seminars with Danny throughout 2005.

2004 was rounded off with Pauls training with Guru Inosanto in the US and visiting the new Academy located in Marina Del Ray.. an awesome experience – we thank all those at the Academy again for their kind hospitality.

At the date of publishing we are hopeful that we will see Sifu Rick Faye again in December – watch the announcements section as dates will be announced.

Paul also takes this opportunity to thank Rick once more for his guidance in the Arts and the promotion Paul received earlier this year.

Congratulations to all those who have successfully passed gradings over the last few months – keep up the good work.

As we approach X-mas class continues and Paul hopes that individuals will use the time off over X-Mas to train even more diligently – ‘ Train Smart Train Hard ‘ and that everyone will be revigorated in January 2005 to start again where they left off.

A special thanks to Karasacs IT advisor Duncan who continues to develop our site and also how can we forget the tireless efforts and organisational skills of the clubs administrator Angela and without whose help we probably would not arrive at the venue.

We take this opportunity to wish all our students and instructors a very Merry X-Mas and a fantastic Kali packed new year..
