Ralph Jones
ImageRalph Jones is head instructor of Zanshin Fighting Arts Kent Kali Group- Guro Jones has been studying under Guro Dan Inosanto for over 20 years and is ranked as a full instructor in Jun Fan Gung Fu - Jeet Kune Do & The Filipino Martial Arts. Ralph Jones is one of the leading instructors of JKD in the UK.

After many years studing the Martial Arts in the UK and Japan. Ralph began to study Eskrima with Rene Latosa and Bill Numan. In September 1979 Guru Inosanto taught his first European JKD/Kali seminar in London and hosted by Bob Breen. Guru Inosanto taught elements from a number of arts including Jun Fan Gung Fu, Kali, Wing Chun, Eskrima/Arnis, and Panantukan (phillipino boxing).

After this initial meeting Ralph began to study these arts under Guro Inosanto. In 1987 Ralph was awarded an apprentice instructorship in both Jeet Kune Do & Jun Fan Gung Fu.

Zanshin (literally translated "awareness") Fighting Arts primary aim is to teach what will be useful to individual student. In teaching martial arts and specifically for the role of self-defence we are preparing to deal with a situation of anarchy where potentially anything can happen. A violent confrontation is not structured and has no rules. Thus, in trying to solve this problem we are presented with both fascinating and open-ended considerations that make the study of JKD as much as you want it to be.

Paul would like to thank Ralph Jones for his guidence and teaching in Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do and Kali. His years of experience benefit all those who train with him. As well as Ralph, Paul would like members of Zanshin Fighting Arts who are skilled and committed martial artists in thier own right.
